My name is Evan Patton. I am the lead software engineer for the MIT App Inventor. My research interests include educational technology, knowledge representation, machine learning, Internet of Things, and how these technologies can be applied to real world problems. Prior to joining MIT, I completed my Ph.D. at the Tetherless World Constellation at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute on metrics and methods for optimizing the use of description logics on smartphones for energy and power constraints.
